Do you have gently used clothes, shoes or stuffed animals that you would like to donate to a good cause? SWHS Friends of the Performing Arts is collecting items for a Savers fundraiser. Drop off at 630 Avery Street on Saturday, May 29th from noon to 5:00 p.m. or Sunday, June 6th from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thanks for supporting SWHS Friends of the Performing Arts!

ATHLETIC NEWS:

Last Friday Girls Track and Field competed in the JI Invitational against 18 other schools. Abby Weiner took first place in the javelin and Erin Dunn took third place in the pole vault. On Tuesday, the team won their duel meet against East Hartford. First place finishes went to Grace Smith in the 800, Kaitlyn Dempsky in the mile, Katelyn Drenga in the two mile, Erin Stephens in 300 hurdles, Abby Weiner in discus and javelin, Katelyn Baumgartner in high jump, Erin Dunn in pole vault, and the 4x800 team of Katelyn Drenga, Abby Grohs, Rhianna O'Meara, and Grace Smith.

The Boys Tennis Team took on Tolland and won with a convincing 7-0 victory with straight sets in every match. Winning for the Bobcats were Jonathan Huot and Rahul Mahesh, Matthew Chin and Kevin Joseph in Singles and Vrishab Murali & Anthony Chen, Sri Sripada & Trinay Harraharan and Noah Marques & Tom Augustine in Doubles. The team has a record of 11 wins and 4 losses and is looking to close out their regular season with one more win Friday versus East Catholic - Great Job Bobcats!!
