The Sophomore Class of 2024 will be having its first fundraiser at a local bakery on Hemlock Ave in Evergreen Run on Friday, October 8th from 4 to 8 pm. Please mention our SWHS Sophomore Class and show them the flyer that will be all over social media. Thank you for your support and see you there! 
 
The New England Association for College Admissions Counseling will host a college fair at Western New England University in Springfield on Tuesday, October 5th from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in its Caprio Alumni Healthful Living Center. Over 100 colleges, universities and technical institutes will be there with information on Admissions and Financial Aid. Go to wne.edu/visit for more information on the event.
 
New job opportunities have come into the Career Center this week, including Dunkin Donuts, Evergreen Crossings, and after school babysitting. Come to the Career Center to see all postings!
 
Attention Seniors: Please make sure you've joined The Class of 2022 Google Classroom (Class Code: hl4cwxs) and make sure your notifications are turned on so that you don't miss important information. See Mrs. McCool or Ms. Andrews with any questions. 
 
A reminder to students looking for part-time jobs – there are several posted on the board in the Career Center. Recent additions include Dunkin Donuts on Sullivan Avenue and LOFT at Evergreen Walk. New jobs are added almost every week!
 
Next week is a very busy week in the Career Center with at least 18 college visits booked! We will kick the week off with Southern New Hampshire University, University of Pittsburgh, University of Louisville and American University on Monday and Drexel University, George Washington University, and Roanoke College on Tuesday. Wednesday will feature Wentworth Institute of Technology, George Mason University, and Regis College. To sign up for these visits and see a complete list of upcoming visits, go to the “What’s New” section in Naviance and check in with your teacher before missing class time.
 
CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES

Anyone interested in getting outside for a hike? Join the outing club on Sunday October 17th when we hike Ragged Mountain. See Ms. Andrews in 264 or Mrs. Lynch in 254 for permission slips or questions. Permission slips are due next Friday October 8th.
