The Sophomore Class of 2024 will be having its first fundraiser at a local bakery on Hemlock Ave in Evergreen Run on Friday, October 8th from 4 to 8 pm. Please mention our  SWHS Sophomore Class and show them the flyer that will be all over social media. Thank you for your support and see you there!

The New England Association for College Admissions Counseling will host a college fair at Western New England University in Springfield on Tuesday, October 5th from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in its Caprio Alumni Healthful Living Center. Over 100 colleges, universities and technical institutes will be there with information on Admissions and Financial Aid. Go to wne.edu/visit for more information on the event.
 
The 9th Grade Class elections will be Today, Tuesday, October 5th. Please look on your Google Classroom for their posters and their videos. There is a Google Form available for you to vote. Class Code for Google Classroom is 5splnf5. Thank you & Good Luck to all of the candidates!
 
CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES

The Future STEM Leaders of America Club will have its first meeting on Friday, October 8th, right after school in room 213. Join the Google Classroom using the code u7jhgxl. New members are always welcome
 
Anyone interested in getting outside for a hike? Join the outing club on Sunday October 17th when we hike Ragged Mountain. See Ms. Andrews in 264 or Mrs. Lynch in 254 for permission slips or questions. Permission slips are due next Friday October 8th.
 
ATHLETICS
 
South Windsor Field Hockey is having a fundraiser this week with a local sandwich shop. Please see a field hockey player for coupons for discounts on subs and more. For each coupon redeemed from now until Saturday, October 9th, $2.00 is donated to the team. In addition, on Thursday, October 7th from 5pm to 9pm, the local sandwich shop will be donating 10% of sales to the team. Players from the field hockey team will be outside the shop handing out coupons. Thank you for your support!
