The Sophomore Class of 2024 will be having its first fundraiser at a local bakery on Hemlock Ave in Evergreen Run on Friday, October 8th from 4 to 8 pm. Please mention our SWHS Sophomore Class and show them the flyer that will be all over social media. Thank you for your support and see you there! 

Theatre is Back! Join us for the musical production of Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka this November! Based on the 1971 Gene Wilder film, this timeless classic chronicles Willy Wonka's famous contest in which five lucky Golden Ticket winners get to tour his marvelous chocolate factory. Featuring the famed songs "Pure Imagination", "I've Got a Golden Ticket", "Candyman", this hilarious and entertaining spectacle is for the entire family to enjoy. The show will be performed in the auditorium on November 12th, 13th, and 14th. Ticket are $15 for adults and $10 for kids/students. CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES

The Science Fiction/Fantasy club will hold its first meeting this Thursday, October 7th, after school in Rm. 127.  Join us to brainstorm creative writing ideas, share book recommendations, and vote on a film to watch.  New members welcome. COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
 
College Visits will finish out this week with Brandeis University, Saint Anselm College, Boston University and Westfield State University on Thursday and Lehigh University, Suffolk University, Champlain College, and Sacred Heart University on Friday. Please note: the Boston University visit will take place in the Media Center Seminar Room. South Windsor Field Hockey is having a fundraiser this week with a local sandwich shop. Please see a field hockey player for coupons for discounts on subs and more. For each coupon redeemed from now until Saturday, October 9th, $2.00 is donated to the team. In addition, on Thursday, October 7th from 5pm to 9pm, the local sandwich shop will be donating 10% of sales to the team. Players from the field hockey team will be outside the shop handing out coupons. Thank you for your support! 
 
Any girls interested in playing ice hockey this winter as part of the Storm Co-Op Ice hockey team that includes South Windsor, Glastonbury, East Catholic, Rockville and Tolland should see South Windsor Athletic Director, Dave Sytulek, for details regarding an upcoming informational meeting with the coach, Frank Usseglio.
