 CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES
 
Want to teach others about crises that move you? Interested in making a difference in the world? Humanitarian Seminar is the club for you! We will be teaching and learning from others about different worldwide, nationwide, or even community crises! We will partner with organizations and fundraise to support causes we care about. Our first meeting will be FRIDAY, OCTOBER 29 at 2:05 in room 129. Please join us with Google Classroom code 4tm2l4h!   
Poetry Club will hold its second meeting on Tuesday, October 26th after school in room 129. Join us to meet other poets, read and write poetry, and maybe come up with something you can share at this month's Mind's Eye Coffeehouse! Join our Google Classroom using the code xisxy4t. All are welcome!
 
Mind's Eye will hold its second meeting of the year today, Thursday, October 21st at 2:00 p.m. in room 129. New and returning members are welcome!
 
The Japanese Club is extremely PROUD of all the amazing members that participated in the last meeting. It is unbelievable how much Japanese you all could understand and speak! Our next meeting is today, Thursday, October 21st right after school in room 230. All are welcome and we look forward to improving and strengthening your Japanese skills, as well as watching Anime! Sayonara! 
 
The Academic Support Center is up and running! If you need any help with your homework or with studying, please sign up with Mrs. Barrett in room 122A. The club meets from Monday to Thursday from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. in room 122A. NHS tutors are hired to help. A snack and a drink will be provided. See you there! 
 
At Home in this New Home (AHNH) is a brand new club at South Windsor High School! We are committed to helping refugees gain comfort in their new home and will be focusing on Afghanistan refugees this year by partnering with the Connecticut Institute for Refugees and Immigrants (CIRI). We are looking for new members to help us with our first project - a winter accessory drive collecting new hats, scarves, gloves, and socks to help Afghan refugees prepare for their first New England winter!
