SCHOOL NEWS:

Hospitals and blood banks are facing critically low reserves due to insufficient donor turnout during the COVID pandemic. Please consider donating blood at the SWHS Spring Blood Drive on Wednesday, March 9th. Sign up using the QR codes posted around the school. This drive is only for students and staff. Students must be 17 years or older to donate. Students may donate at age 16 if they bring in a parental consent form found on the Red Cross website before their donation date to Mrs. Belval. There will be refreshments after your donation. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Belval in room 204.

Please note that March 1st is MARDI GRAS, an important celebration in the French speaking world. French students will be making paper Carnaval masks in class in traditional Mardi Gras colors.

CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES:

NHS is collecting prom dresses to donate to members of the community. There is a donation rack set up just outside the doors of the SWHS main office. Collection runs through March 21st.

ATHLETICS:

Any girls who are new to Track and Field at the high school and plan to join this Spring, should attend an informational meeting on either Thurs. March 3rd or Monday March 7th in Rm. 127 from 2-2:30 pm.  Please see Coach McCullough if you have any questions.
