Join Trivia Night hosted by Student Council on March 10, 2022 at 6 pm in the cafeteria. Price per person is $5.00. Teams are limited to 5 members. Students, staff and faculty can sign up to play. Please have your team captain collect team dues and sign up in the cafeteria or sign up with Ms. Ullinger in Room 166. 1st place team wins a $200 gift card to a local restaurant, 2nd place wins a $100 gift card to a local restaurant and 3rd place wins a $50 gift card. Weekly Writing Center Tip: Pay attention to the purpose of your writing when deciding what tone to use. For more writing tips and help with your writing, stop by the writing center. We
are open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 2-3 in room 136 to help you with any writing assignments you have. Drop by for help brainstorming, drafting, or revising!
Seniors – you have just one more week to apply to the South Windsor Dollars for Scholars program. The application portal will close promptly at 11:59 p.m. on March 15th. If you have already started an application, please check your e-mail in case our local representative has tried to reach you regarding any issues with your application. If you need any assistance, please see Mrs. Carty in the Career Center or anyone in the School Counseling department. In addition to Dollars for Scholars, there are still other scholarship opportunities listed in Naviance.
CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES:
Unified for Underprivileged Girls is partnering with Leah Cunha Crafts to host a fundraiser during the month of March. NHS is collecting prom dresses to donate to members of the community. There is a donation rack set up just outside the doors of the SWHS main office. Collection runs through March 21st.
Hey Bobcat Foodies! Wear some green and join the Cooking Club on a culinary journey to the Emerald Isle! On March 17th at 2pm, we'll be celebrating St. Patrick's Day with these delicious dishes: Shamrock Shakes, Pot O’ Gold Cupcakes, Lucky Charms Treats, Shamrock Sugar Cookies, Spinach Artichoke Dip, and Corned Beef & Pastrami Sliders.
