SCHOOL NEWS:

Beginning Monday, March 21st, the second round of student parking permits will be available to seniors and juniors.  Applications will be accepted in person only.  Spaces are limited and applications will be processed on a first come, first serve basis.  To apply, students should see Ms. Schworm in room 237 with their application, along with a copy of a valid driver’s license, current registration, current insurance card, and a check payable to SWHS for $30 (no cash accepted). Students must have all required documentation at the time of submission.
 
Attention Seniors: We will be collecting senior dues in the cafe during all four lunch waves on Tuesday, March 22nd and Wednesday, March 23rd. These dues cover the cost of senior events: prom, outing, and graduation. See Google classroom for more specifics. 
 
Upper Duprey Parking- Please ensure that your car is parked in a legitimate parking spot in any lot, but especially in Upper Duprey. Double parking is not allowed on the ends of the rows. Emergency vehicles need to be able to get around. If your car is illegally parked it is subject to being towed at your expense. 

Attention all Juniors: Thursday March 24th is SAT day for the 11th grade class. Juniors must arrive by 7:15 am with a fully charged chromebook and their chromebook charger. It is optional to bring a pencil, calculator, snack, and/or a drink. Room assignments will be posted outside the cafeteria. Morning and afternoon buses will run on a normal schedule. If you have questions about SAT day see your school counselor. 

Attention all Seniors, Sophomores and Freshman: On SAT day Seniors will virtually present capstone projects, participate in AP review sessions, or arrive late at 11:15 am. Sophomores will participate in AP review sessions or arrive late at 11:15. All freshmen will arrive late at 11:15 am. Morning buses will run on a 4 hour delay for grades 9, 10 and 12.  

Donate some green to SWFTK and if $1000 is raised before St Patrick’s Day, Coach Hodge will dye his beard green and Mr. Carlson will dress as a leprechaun- green tights and all. Collections will be in the cafeteria during lunch waves and proceeds will be donated to Huskython.

CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES:

This past weekend, Team 177 Bobcat Robotics won the FIRST Robotics Competition Waterbury Event with two finals match scores of 104 to 49 and 74 to 61. In addition, the drive team, consisting of Pranav Ramesh, Matt Slater, and Dylian Erwin, scored a record-breaking 122 points during the playoffs, more than doubling the opposing alliance's score. Thanks to all the students, mentors, and teachers on the team who made this victory possible! The team will be heading to Springfield for their Western New England competition this coming weekend. Good luck Bobcats!

FBLA will be meeting today after school in room 122B. Please bring your permission slips for the virtual award ceremony! See you there!
