SCHOOL NEWS:

Attention all Juniors: Thursday March 24th is SAT day for the 11th grade class. Juniors must arrive by 7:15 am with a fully charged chromebook and their chromebook charger. It is optional to bring a pencil, calculator, snack, and/or a drink. Room assignments will be posted outside the cafeteria. Morning and afternoon buses will run on a normal schedule. If you have questions about SAT day see your school counselor. 
 
Attention all Seniors, Sophomores and Freshman: On SAT day Seniors will virtually present capstone projects, participate in AP review sessions, or arrive late at 11:15 am. Sophomores will participate in AP review sessions or arrive late at 11:15. All freshmen will arrive late at 11:15 am. Morning buses will run on a 4 hour delay for grades 9, 10 and 12.  
 
This past weekend, Team 177 Bobcat Robotics won the FIRST Robotics Competition Western New England Event with two finals match scores of 114 to 87 and 106 to 75. In addition, the drive team, consisting of Pranav Ramesh, Matt Slater, and Jack Libow, scored an average of 114 points during the playoffs and also scored 122 in one of their semifinals matches, a high score of the day. Thanks to all who made this victory possible, and a special congratulations to the contributing seniors, including Pranav Ramesh, Jack Libow, Kashyap Rao, Mitchell Marks, Aarav Nair, Sidharth Masarur, Laila Jackson, Dylian Erwin, Sivani Arvapalli, Aarnav Alsi, and Dalton Silverman.

Voice 4 Change: On March 28th, during homeroom, students will have the opportunity to vote for an idea that was proposed by their peers as part of Civics classes and a statewide project called Voice 4 Change. “Voice4Change will allow students to suggest how $20,000 of the ARP ESSER state set-aside money will be spent in their school. Seventy-six Connecticut high schools representing more than 55,000 students are participating in this exciting opportunity.” Read more about the state project here- Voice4Change. Your vote will determine how the money will be spent. Read more about the students’ ideas and proposals here  in order to make an informed decision and vote next Monday.
