SCHOOL NEWS: 

The 9th Grade Class of 2025 is having a fundraiser at a local FROZEN YOGURT SHOP located at 1470 Pleasant Valley Road, Manchester on Wednesday, May 25th from 6 to 9 p.m.  Please come by and support your 9th Grade Class! 
 
Student Council is having a meeting for ALL representatives in the Media Center on May 25th from 2-2:30 pm. We will be discussing Freshmen Orientation for next year in detail alongside future events. If you would like to help with Freshmen Orientation, please plan on being there. 
 
Students and Staff, there is an extremely limited number of Yearbooks left. Join in on the fun by purchasing your very own book, available on the SWHS website, under For Students, then on the Yearbook page. The final deadline to purchase a Yearbook is May 27th. 
 
The Boys Soccer team is raffling off a parking spot for the 2022-2023 school year! Get your tickets today! That’s a free spot for next year! Buying tickets is easy – We take VENMO, cash or checks. Tickets are $5 each or get five tickets for $20. To get your tickets:
-Find a Senior SWHS Boys Soccer player in your lunch wave and buy tickets in school
-Checkout the flyers in the school lobby near the office for the Venmo & email address 
-Go on the South Windsor High School Website for ticket sale information

 CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES:

French Club “Le Lynx'' will meet on Thursday May 26th, right after school in Room 230.  We will be doing crafts, watching French Movies and playing French Board games.  There will also be a snack.  Please send a message via the French Club Google Classroom Code yuisrzt to let us know if you’re planning to come so we can order enough materials. Everyone is welcome, bring a friend.
 
COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER: 

A representative from the United States Marine Corps will be in the Career Center on Wednesday, May 25 at 10 a.m. to talk to any students who want to know more about joining the Marines. Sign up in Naviance. 

ATHLETICS:

The Zebra Cup Faculty/Student Tennis Tournament was held May 19th to benefit the SW Fuel and Food Bank.  Thank you to everyone who participated and the Boys and Girls Tennis team for running it.  The weather cooperated and we had a great turn out! We collected $270 for the South Windsor Food and Fuel Bank. Congratulations to this year’s champs,  Mathew Chin and Mr. Peters defeated Coach Tyler and Anthony Chen in an exciting set.
