The American Mathematics Contest is a national competition consisting of 25 challenging multiple choice Math problems given in 75 minutes.  The AMC 10 is designed for 9th and 10th graders, while the AMC 12 has more advanced topics and is designed for 11th and 12th graders. This year, SWHS will offer administration of the test on two different dates.
The AMC 10/12A will be given during the school day on Thursday, November 10. It will be administered during Periods 1 and 2 in the Cafeteria that day, so you would miss those classes.
The AMC 10/12B will be given after school on Wednesday, November 16. Students will meet in the SWHS Cafeteria at 3:00pm and will be done by 5:00pm.
You may take either administration or both, depending on your goals or availability.  If you are interested in participating, you must first join the AMC 10/12 Google Classroom.  The class code is: pdqlz2s.  Then follow directions to sign up for the tests by Tuesday, October 25 to reserve your spot for the test.
