CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES:

Did you know that socks are the number one requested item at local shelters? Winter will be here soon and warm socks will be even more important! The SADD Club is organizing our annual “Sock It To The Cold” sock drive, so next time you are in the store please consider picking up a pack of socks to donate. You can drop them off in the laundry basket near the cafeteria. You can also bring in a dollar to donate during lunch next week. Together let’s help our community!

SAGA (Sexuality and Gender Alliance) will meet this Thursday at 2pm in Room 148. This will be our last meeting before the Thanksgiving holiday, so feel free to bring in a festive treat to share to celebrate the diversity of our community.

The film club will hold its next meeting in Room 127 after school on Thursday to watch and discuss The Truman Show.  New and returning members are welcome.

COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER:

South Windsor High School will be administering the ASVAB CEP again this year. The test will be held on Wednesday, December 14th at 8:00am in the Seminar Room at SWHS.  Whether you’re planning to go to college, a vocational school, or the Military, or you’re just not sure what you want to do yet, the ASVAB CEP can provide you with important information about your skills and interests -- and help get you on the right path toward a satisfying career. There are a limited number of seats available, so seats will be first come, first serve. The test is open to all students in grades 10-12. If you would like to take the ASVAB CEP please email Mr. Briggs at [email protected] or stop by the School Counseling Office.
