SCHOOL NEWS:
 
The Bobcat Shop has affordable stocking stuffers for your Bobcat Family Lanyards, stainless steel water bottles, beanie hats, rubber wallets, pencils and even stylus pens. Come to the school store during period 5 lunch waves to get your stocking stuffer right in time for the holidays! 
 
SWFLC’s Annual Volleyball Marathon is on January 20th.  Sign up forms are available this week during lunch waves and on our Google Classroom. Money and sign up forms must be submitted during lunch waves by December 21.
 
Snowflakegrams will be sold during lunch waves this Monday thru Wednesday! For $1, you can send a nice message to a friend with a sweet treat, and the Student Council will deliver it for you. Hodgeclaus & Carlson the Elf will be taking photos during lunch waves next Thursday. Photos cost $1, all proceeds go to the Jimmy V Cancer Research Foundation!
 
They're creepy and they’re kooky, mysterious and spooky, and they are coming to the South Windsor High School Musical! The Spring Musical auditions for The Addams Family will take place after vacation. There will be a meeting in the Seminar Room at 2:15pm on Wednesday, January 4th for all interested students.  Please contact Mr. Zeuschner with any questions.

The Teen Center will host a painting workshop during winter break. On Tuesday, December 27th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., you can join us to paint a winter northern lights theme. Attention Seniors: Students who do not present their Capstone in January may have their schedules changed to include a structured study hall to provide time to work on their projects. Structured study halls may be scheduled during any of your study hall periods including late arrival or early release periods. We encourage all students to present in January so they are not in danger of losing these Senior privileges!  The January presentation waves will take place during the week of midterms. Sign ups to present in January will be located on the Capstone Website.  Please see your adviser with any questions.
 
CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES:
 
Mrs. Barrett's Marketing classes and DECA are collecting money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association now through December 23rd. They are selling cards for $1 or $5. If you would like to donate, see any of the Marketing students or see Mrs. Barrett in Room 122A. Your name will be put on a card and hung outside of Room 122A.
 
KFCとクリスマス日本の連絡って??次の木曜日12月22日、教室番ご230に日本の変なクリスマスお祭りに学びましょう。
Did you know that in Japan, Christmas is celebrated with a KFC meal? Thursday, December 22nd, meet us in Room 230 to learn about this unique tradition. We will also make Japanese holiday ornaments, learn Japanese and watch anime.
 
Mind's Eye is hosting a Coffee House on Wednesday, December 21st, in the School Library from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. We will have an open mic for anyone who wants to share or listen to music, writing, and art! All are welcome.
 
Calling all current Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors interested in visiting France and Spain! The Travel Club will be holding an informational session on Thursday, January 12th at 6:00 p.m. in the SWHS Cafeteria. This trip will be during April break of 2024.  Please see Sra. Ruiz in Room 233 with questions.
