September 15th marks the start of Hispanic Heritage Month in the United States. Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15th to October 15th by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America. CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES:
The Math Team’s first meeting is Friday, September 15, at 2:10pm in Room 265. If you enjoy solving challenging math problems without a calculator, this is the team for you! The first meeting for SAGA, the Sexuality and Gender Alliance, will be held after school in Room 129 on Wednesday, September 20th. All are welcome.
The FSLA club will meet on Mondays starting September 18th. If you are interested in teaching and learning about all things STEM, come join us in Room 212 from 2:05-2:40pm.
The first French Club meeting of the year will be held on Monday, September 18th, right after school in Room 227. We will discuss club leadership opportunities and activities. The Water Launch Club is run by South Windsor High School students who are passionate about helping villages get access to reliable and safe water sources.
