SCHOOL NEWS:

For students attending Junior Prom:

In order to attend student activities such as Junior Prom, students must be in school for at least 50% of the school day. Students who arrive at 7:25 are eligible to be dismissed at 10:05 (after period 4). A link to a google form was emailed to parents on Tuesday.  Please make sure your parents complete this form in order to grant you permission to be dismissed from school early.
For those students who arrive after 7:25, please be advised that it is important for you to be in school for at least half of the school day in order for your attendance at Junior Prom to be in good standing.  Failure to do so may prohibit your ability to attend. Advisors and administrators will be checking attendance throughout the day to ensure that all students attending Junior Prom meet these requirements.

Junior Prom will be held at the Marriott in Hartford, CT.  All students will have their bags checked upon entry into the venue. If you park at the Marriott garage, the price is $7.

Please know, the latest students can enter prom is 7:00 PM. Any student(s) arriving after that time will not be permitted. In addition, once students decide to leave prom for the night, they will not be readmitted.

Seniors attending the outing:

If you are an athlete who has a game or a practice the day of the Senior Outing, there is an early bus that will depart Holiday Hill at 12:30 PM and return to the school at approximately 1:30 PM.

Remaining seats on the bus are open to any senior who would like to take the early bus home. Those available spots will be on a first come first serve basis.

Any student who would like to take the early bus must get the permission slip from Mrs. Balducci in the main office and return it to her by May 21st by 2:00 PM.

CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES:

Attention Interact Members! This Thursday, May 9th, will be our FINAL monthly Interact Meeting for our 2023-2024 school year. The meeting will take place after school in the Media Center from 2:05-2:35 PM. The Environmental Club is selling t-shirts to promote “Earth Day is Every Day!” Shirts will be sold in the Cafe and in Ms. Eitel’s classroom Room 206 from February 26th thru June. Students will wear the shirts on specific days to show their love of conservation and environmental stewardship.
