Athletics Registration
Athletics Registration
Hello SWHS Families,
Fall Athletics Online Registration is now open. In order to participate on the first day of tryouts, both parts of the athletic registration below must be complete:
1.) Online registration through PowerSchool (Parent Portal) account.
2.) Submission of the physician statement Physician’s Statement (dated after June 1, 2026) turned in to the High School Main Office (*Note: the physician statement only needs to be submitted once/year for athletics).
Registration deadline for Fall Sports '26 -'27 is August 11, 2026. Registrations submitted after these deadlines are not guaranteed to be processed in time for tryouts and an athlete missing the deadline will be required to sit out at least one day of tryouts. Every athlete will still get at least 2 days to tryout.
If you have any trouble logging into your PowerSchool (Parent Portal) account, please contact the Main Office at 860-648-5000.

Families will be invoiced through ParentSquare for the Pay for Play Fee once it is confirmed your student has made the team. The Pay for Play Fee must be paid immediately after invoice is received either on ParentSquare or by dropping off a check/cash at the High School main office. Please make checks payable to South Windsor High School and indicate the student-athlete’s full name and sport on the memo line. *Note there is a small processing fee when using ParentSquare.* If the fee is not paid in full prior to the first game, the student athlete will be ineligible to participate. Anyone who feels they qualify for an exemption or reduction of the Pay for Play fee should contact the Athletic Director, Dave Sytulek. |
Important Update: SWHS Athletics Pay-To-Play Process (2026-2027)
As we approach the start of the 2026 school year, we want to provide important information regarding the Pay-to-Play process for South Windsor High School Athletics.
To align with similar District Reference Group (DRG) high schools and meet budgetary needs, our fee structure will change effective July 1, 2026.
Fee Structure
- Standard Fee: $175 per sport (Family Cap: $550 per year)
- Specialized Fee: $450 per athlete for Boys Ice Hockey, Co-op Girls Ice Hockey, and Gymnastics (Family Cap: $850 per year)
Invoicing and Payment Requirements
- When to Pay: All student-athletes selected for a CIAC athletic team must complete their payment prior to the first contest.
- How it Works: Once rosters are finalized and it is confirmed your student made the team, you will receive an invoice via ParentSquare.
- Payment Methods: Payments can be made immediately online through ParentSquare, or via cash/check dropped off at the High School main office.
- Important: If the fee is not paid in full prior to the first game, the student-athlete will be ineligible to participate.
