Seniors!

Do you speak another language at home and want to try for the Seal of Biliteracy? You must join the Google Classroom and sign up via the Google Form by September 26. Code lpyzmu7. 

 

CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES: 

 

Attention all returning SADD Club members: Juniors and Seniors who have actively participated in the club for at least 2 years are invited to complete a leadership application by Tuesday, September 16th. The application can be found on the new classroom with code ol4dckcn. 

 

The Indian Heritage Awareness Club (IHAC) will be meeting on Wednesday, September 17th. Join us to discuss possible fundraisers and help us prepare for our Diwali Exhibit coming up in October.

 

The first Cooking Club Planning Meeting for this school year will be held on Thursday, September 18th in Annex room 56 at 2:05 PM. This meeting is optional. Please attend if you want to help pick the recipes for our first Cooking Day for this school year on Thursday, September 25th at 2:05 PM in the kitchen in room AN 11 in the SWHS Annex.

 

Bobcat Robotics is kicking off their new season with an after school meeting for new members only, on Thursday, September 18th right after school in Room 11 in the basement. At this meeting, new members will get a chance to meet this year's captains and get an overview of what robotics is all about. 

 

Announcement for MAT: Attention returning members of Mu Alpha Theta, please check your email for information about returning to the honors society this year. Letters for prospective Mu Alpha Theta members have been emailed and mailed home. Both returning members and new members must submit their google form by Friday September 19th. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Singer or Miss Goslin.

 

Educators Rising is a new club here at SWHS for all students who are interested in pursuing a career in Education. The club is not just for future teachers. It is also intended for all students who would like to pursue a career in School Social Work, School Psychology, School Counseling, Coaching, Library/Media Specialist, Special Education, a Paraeducator and many more.

Our first club meeting will be on Wednesday in the Annex room 55. Please see Mrs. Doherty with any questions. Our Google Classroom code is listed on the activities page on the SW website.

 

Come check out the Jewish American Heritage Club’s info meeting on Wednesday, September 25th at 2 PM! We’ll have apples and honey for Rosh Hashanah and talk about what our club’s all about. Everyone’s welcome!

 

Science Bowl will have an Interest Meeting on Monday, September 15, at 2:10 PM in Room 205. This will serve as the official kickoff for the year, open to both returning members and those joining us for the first time. See Srinidhi Karthik or Samarth Basanth for questions.

 

The Black Student Alliance will host its first meeting of the year on Wednesday, September 17, at 2:15 in the Seminar Room. Not able to make it? We meet every month on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays. All are welcome to attend.

 

The HOPE club will host their first meeting on Thursday September 25th in the back of the media center. Everyone is welcome, especially students who are interested in a career in healthcare! Come hear what the club is all about, put in your requests for guest speakers and activities throughout the year, and learn how to get involved with volunteer opportunities like our blood drives!
