SCHOOL NEWS:
South Windsor High School is thrilled to offer an Academic Resource Center (ARC) for our students who may be struggling to complete their assignments. Meets in room AN-12 every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 2:00- 3:30 beginning the week of September 22, 2025. If a student is not able to attend on any particular day, the parent must contact Mrs. Barrett or note it on the form. This program is offered at no cost.
It's Official! The South Windsor Teen Center is open! High School Students can walk down after school on Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays when school is in session. We are open from 2pm-4:30pm and the late bus does pick up here. Please note in order to receive a late bus pass from the Teen Center you must be here by 2:30pm and stay here the entire time.
We have snacks and drinks available. If you are here by 3:15 you will receive 2 tickets for any 2 items. Drinks are free and we usually have some items that are up for grabs as well. If you need more you can purchase 2 tickets for $1.00. Please note that this is a drama free zone. You must show your school Identification and you must read and sign the Teen Center Rules. We look forward to seeing you all here!
CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES:
The HOPE club will host their first meeting on Thursday September 25th in the back of the media center. Everyone is welcome, especially students who are interested in a career in healthcare! For more information, see the fliers posted around the school for our google classroom code
The Yoga and Flexibility Club here at SWHS meets weekly every Thursday. The next meeting will be Thursday the 25th and snacks will be provided. Our classroom code is zd345lw.
SAGA, the Sexuality and Gender Alliance, will hold our next meeting after school on Monday 9/22 at 2:00 in room 129. New members are always welcome! Hope to see you there!

Come check out the Jewish American Heritage Club’s info meeting on Wednesday, September 25th at 2 PM! We’ll have apples and honey for Rosh Hashanah and talk about what our club’s all about. Everyone’s welcome
Get ready to roll into fun! The Bobcat Bowling Club at South Windsor High School starts on September 30th and runs for five exciting weeks. You can pick up permission slips in room 168, scan the QR code from the flyers around the building, or access it using the Google Classroom code mh7qoj4. Don’t forget, permission slips are due by September 29th. If you have any questions, please spare a moment to stop by room 168.
FCCLA is looking for members! This club, which focuses on leadership, careers, and community, has leadership positions open! We will be having our first meeting on Thursday, September 24th at 2:15 in Annex Room 11. We will be discussing club membership, our club goals, nominating board members, and enjoying cookies and lemonade! Bring a friend to be entered into a raffle at the end of the meeting! The club Crochet for a Cause is having their first meeting on September 24th, next week on Wednesday from 2-3pm. The club also has openings for leadership positions. All levels of experience are welcome. Come join us to learn the basics of working with yarn or to start our first community project. Snacks will be provided!
Our school's literary arts magazine club, Mind's Eye, will hold its first meeting of the year Friday September 26th from 2-2:45 in room 129. New members are welcome! Hope to see you there!

The Cooking Club will be cooking in room AN 11 on Thursday, September 25th at 2:05 PM. In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month our theme is Endless Summer Hispanic Spectacular. We will be making: Horchata, a fresh cold milky almond beverage, Watermelon Agua Fresca, Cheese and Veggie Empanadas, build your own Chicken Rice Bowls, Tres Leches Cake with fresh strawberries and Quesada Pasiega-Spanish cheesecake with Guava. Bring your $5 to Sra. Ruiz in room AN 56 or to Mr. Ly in room AN 39 to reserve your spot.
