CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES:
The Korean Club will be having their second meeting in room AN 56 on Wednesday, October 1st. We will be learning various phrases such as “you’re welcome” and “please give me”. For the second block we will have rice crackers and will continue our Minhwa (traditional tiger) drawings. To join our club the Google classroom code is: goubxnng.
FCCLA will be having their second meeting on Wednesday, October 1st from 2:15-3 in Annex Room 11. We will be discussing fundraising and community service projects, voting for board members, and getting to know more about this leadership club! If you would like to vote in the election, please return your membership form with your club dues to Chef Sullivan before or at the meeting! The Environmental Club will be meeting on Wednesday Oct 1 at 2:10pm in Room 206 to work on the many projects we have planned for this year. New members are always welcome. See Mrs. Eitel with any questions.
Interested in raising money to donate to schools in need? Young Hearts Alliance is hosting its first meeting on September 30th in the Annex room 54. It will be an introduction to the club, discussing how it works, potential fundraising ideas, and leadership positions available. To join, the class code is 5odbsbr. Get ready to roll into fun! The Bobcat Bowling Club at South Windsor High School starts on September 30th and runs for five exciting weeks. You can pick up permission slips in room 168, scan the QR code from the flyers around the building, or access it using the Google Classroom code mh7qoj4. Don’t forget, permission slips are due by September 29th. If you have any questions, please spare a moment to see me in room 168.
Are you looking to set goals for your future? Do you want help with how to get there? S.W. and Family Services is teaming up with Model Mindset to bring a brand new program to high school students. Register for the "Ignite Leadership Program" to learn the tools to help you set meaningful goals and gain confidence. This program starts soon, so check out the flyer in the cafeteria hallway for more details.
Athletics:
Interested in trying out for girls basketball this season? Fall strength and conditioning workouts are starting next week. The first session will be on Tuesday, September 30th from 3:15 - 4:15. Please meet in the weight room. In order to participate, you must fill out the google form that is posted in StudentSquare. Any questions, see Coach Goslin in Room 233!
