SCHOOL NEWS: 

 

Picture retakes will be held on Wednesday, October 15th. If you wish to have a retake please see Mrs. Balducci in the main office by Tuesday, October 14th to get a pass scheduled.

 

Attention all members of Mu Alpha Theta: in order to stay in the honor society, your $10 dues must be submitted by this Friday, October 10th. Please drop them off to Mrs. Singer in room 257 or Miss Goslin in room 233.

 

Juniors and Seniors: Do you have a 3.5 unweighted science GPA and are currently enrolled in an advanced science course? If you answered yes, check your email and mail for an invite from the Science National Honor Society. Membership applications are due Friday, October 10 at 9:00 PM. Contact Mrs. Davis for questions.

 

Get ready! This year’s Homecoming Pep Rally on Thursday, October 23rd is going to be bigger and better than ever! Most of the Pep Rally will be class competitions, where each grade goes head-to-head for the ultimate Homecoming prize and bragging rights. Don’t worry, we are keeping fan favorites too - there will still be a game for our fall team captains and athletes, plus the legendary class officer musical chairs scavenger hunt.

Want in on the action? Fill out this form if you are interested in competing. Remember, you’ll be representing your grade. If lots of students sign up, we’ll randomly select participants from the form to compete. And here’s the twist - teachers will be jumping in to take you on in every single game!

CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES: 

 

Pep Rally Spirit Shirts are available NOW through Thursday 10/9! Buy your grade's design to show your spirit during color wars! Shirts can be purchased through the link in your grade level Google Classroom, or through Student Council's Instagram Page (@bobcatstudentcouncil)

20% of your purchase will go towards your class fund. 

 

There will be a mandatory monthly Interact Meeting this Thursday, October 9th at 2:15pm! There is a location change for this meeting. Our October meeting will be held in the South Windsor High School Annex Cafeteria. If you have any questions please email Mrs. McGinn. See you there!

 

The Islamic Cultural Club is hosting an arts and crafts meeting today, October 8th after school in Annex Room 39 to decorate the display stand! We'd love your help and creativity  — plus, snacks will be provided! 🍪 Please see Mr. Ly, Alveena Suha or Hamnah Siddiqui if you have any questions.

 

Come to the next Italian Club meeting on Thursday, October 9th right after school. We'll be playing bocce, the Italian lawn bowling game, and eating pizza right outside the Annex. Please let Mrs. Z. in Annex room 35 know you plan on attending and get her $5 to save a spot. The Cooking Club Planning Meeting will be held on Thursday, October 9th at 2:05 PM in room AN 56. Come join us with your creative ideas as we choose the theme and recipes for the month of October.

 

ATHLETICS:

 

The boys soccer team traveled to Windsor last night and put up 5 goals in the second half to pull away and win 5-0. Naol Tirfessa started the scoring off a deflection from a Hayden Xhokaxhiu shot. Xhokaxhiu was taken down outside of the box and scored a beautiful direct kick to double their lead. Riley Lyons and Hayden Xhokaxhiu scored the next 3 to end any hopes of a Warriors comeback. Eshaan Dey earned the shutout in net. SW plays Glastonbury at home on Wednesday on the turf.
