SCHOOL NEWS:
It’s time for “this date in history.” On January 30th, 1882, President Franklin D. Roosevelt was born. One of America’s most famous presidents, Roosevelt was elected to office four times. In 1951, the 22nd amendment was ratified limiting a president to two terms or a maximum of ten years. Also on this date in 1956, Elvis Presley made his first TV appearance on CBS’ Stage Show. Finally, Jackson Pollock, a famous American artist was born on this date in 1912. Thanks for listening to this date in history.
Attention seniors, the first round of in-person collections are coming soon. We will be collecting during lunch in the Seminar Room on Tuesday, February 3rd and Wednesday, February 4th. ATHLETICS:
The Girls Basketball team will host their Pink Game on Monday, February 2nd. The varsity game starts at 6:45. We will be collecting cash donations to support Breast Cancer Research and we ask that anyone attending please wear pink. Join our fight as Ballers versus Breast Cancer!!
This is a reminder to all winter sports athletes that your team pictures will take place this upcoming Monday, February 2nd after school. Please check with your coach for the exact time and location of your team picture and what uniform you should be wearing. Exceptions to this are as follows:
- Gymnastics will take team pictures this Saturday January 31st at Tritown Gymnastics
- Boys Swimming & Diving team pictures will be February 10th 2:30 at Star Hill Pool.
- Boys Ice Hockey team pictures will be taken at SW Arena on February 12th at 2:30 pm
