SCHOOL NEWS:
It’s time for “this date in history.” On February 4, 1789 George Washington was unanimously elected as the first President of the United States receiving all 69 presidential electors’ votes in the electoral college. John Adams was elected as Vice President. Also on this date in 1913, civil rights icon Rosa Parks was born in Tuskegee, Alabama. On February 3, 1932, the United States hosted its first Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, New York. And on February 3, 2004, Facebook launched as TheFacebook.com. Thanks for listening to this date in history.
ATHLETICS:
On Monday, the girls basketball program raised $407 for breast cancer research. Thank you to everybody who attended and to those who contributed! We hope you can join us for our FOUR home games next week! Our games are on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. Tuesday's game is our student council canned food drive. Wednesday is our Equity Game and Friday is SENIOR NIGHT!
