Here’s an exciting opportunity for interested journalists: former SWHS student Roger Mao, who is now at Brown University, is running a summer program for interested journalists to interview local officials running in local races.
Your writing, submitted to a Pulitzer nominated-winning news agency through the South Windsor Voter Summaries project. Students will: Conduct online research, create surveys and interviews, and synthesize 5-to-10 minute summary articles.
Under mentorship and guidance from a SWHS alum, students will publish their summaries to The Bobcat Prowl, project website, and submit it to the CT Mirror. Lower the barrier of entry for resident participation in the August party primaries while building your resume, communication skills, and independence in pursuing projects of personal interest.
